STYLE #117234

Paisley and lotus motifs enrich our must-have fall scarf. This imported silk style features Persian paisley, representing a stylized floral spray, the symbol of life and eternity. The blue lotus flowers are symbols for the victory of the spirit over the senses. Both are appropriate motifs for a scarf that funds our Fabric of Hope™ breast cancer charity in conjunction with NBCF. 75% of proceeds go to this charity.

The Inspiration

There is no fashion accessory more iconic than the scarf, a polished way to focus your look and express your personal passions. The Fabric of Hope™ logo tag that comes with the scarf will identify you as a contributor to the cause.

This year’s limited edition is an exclusive Carlisle design, highlighting the theme of life and hope. The artist's dual floral inspirations are both ancient and meaningful in the context of this important health concern. The paisley motif comes from an original Persian droplet-like motif — the boteh or buta — which is thought to have been a representation of a floral spray combined with a cypress tree, a Zoroastrian icon of life and eternity.

The blue lotus flower has been steeped in symbolism since the time of the Egyptians, where it was used as a metaphor for re-birth and of the Sun. It also plays a key role in Buddhism, where its color is thought to be associated with the victory of the spirit.

Together they represent the victory of life and the spirit and are a reminder of our unending commitment to this common goal.

How To Tie A Scarf

Scarves are the most creative accessory, because of the many ways you can wear them — as a shawl, a bow for your handbag, covering the head, tied at the neck in countless ways, even as a sash belt.
